THE A.R.K. PROGRAM

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Our Mission

The mission of The A.R.K. (Adults Reaching Kids) is to provide after school/summer enrichment programming for at risk youth ages 3-18 with an emphasis on Math, English and Science tutoring,
fine arts, arts and crafts, computer literacy,
life skills coaching, job readiness, and recreation.
We provide a safe environment where kids can fellowship with each other as well as adult mentors. In addition to our curriculum, we address issues that plague youth such as;
homelessness, violence, drug addiction, alcoholism, gang activity, teen pregnancy/parenthood. We present to them Biblical lessons to teach them honesty, respect, integrity, responsibility,
choices, cooperation and self worth.

About The A.R.K

The A.R.K program for at-risk youth provides spiritual, educational, recreational, mentoring and life skills training which are critical human service needs currently underutilized in the community. This program builds relationships within the community, helps foster a love for learning, socializing, and nurtures confident independent decision making skills. In providing these resources, The A.R.K. aims to create a dialogue between generations that leads to greater cultural awareness and sharing of wisdom while giving youth the skills they need to be productive citizens in society.
Rev. Dr. Daniel McKizzie and wife Annie McKizzie founded The A.R.K. in 2008. Together they bring over seventeen years of experience nurturing over 70 foster and five adopted children in their home. In 2005 the McKizzie’s were nominated by Senator Norm Coleman as “Angels of Adoption” for the State of Minnesota and were presented with an award by the U.S. Congress’ Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
The A.R.K.’s guiding values are to R.E.A.C.H. at risk youth at an early age.
