When we truly and deeply understand that everything we have is a gift from God,
generosity will overflow from us.
At New Creation Baptist Church, we believe that everything we have belongs to God and He has entrusted us to be good stewards. Whether it is in the form of finances, resources, service or time, it is a believer’s responsibility to give back to the Lord.
The purpose of tithing
Tithing is the spiritual practice of giving back to God the first 10% of all that we earn. The word “tithe” comes from the number “ten” in Hebrew, and means a tenth. So simply put, for every $10 I earn or receive, the first dollar belongs to the Lord.
